Data deletion
Delete your Baciio data
Three ways to do it, all free, none of them need you to talk to us first. Data is erased within 30 days and then gone from backups within another 30.
Option 1: disconnect one social account
- Sign in and open Settings → Accounts.
- Choose Disconnect next to the account.
The access token is destroyed immediately. The account’s profile data, published post records and metrics are removed within 30 days. Posts already published on the network stay on the network, because they belong to you there.
Option 2: delete your whole Baciio account
- Open Settings → Account and choose Delete account, or email privacy@baciio.com from the address on the account.
- We confirm by email, then delete every workspace you own, its connected accounts, posts, media and members.
If you only want to leave a workspace someone else owns, ask its owner to remove you, or email us and we will.
Option 3: remove Baciio from the network itself
Revoking our access from the network also works, and for Meta it triggers an automatic deletion request to us.
- Facebook: Settings & privacy → Settings → Apps and websites → Baciio → Remove.
- Instagram: Settings → Website permissions → Apps and websites → Baciio → Remove.
- Threads: Settings → Account → Website permissions → Baciio → Remove.
- Google and YouTube: myaccount.google.com/permissions.
- Other networks: the connected apps page in that network’s settings.
When Meta tells us you removed the app, we delete the data for that Facebook, Instagram or Threads account and give Meta a confirmation code. Meta shows you that code with a link back to this page.
Check a deletion request
Enter the confirmation code to see whether the request has been completed.
What is not deleted
- Posts already published on a network. Delete those on the network.
- Invoices, which tax law requires us to keep for 7 years. They contain your billing name and address, nothing from social networks.
- Server logs, which expire on their own after 30 days.
